Celebrate our accomplishments over the past year and get a look at 2010 with a seated dinner prepared by Dill Pickler Lucy Rockwell, Sunday, January 3rd at 6PM.
Lucy will be cooking a 3-course vegetarian meal, including:
- Mixed green salad with corn and peppers
- Cauliflower, pepper and caramelized onion enchiladas with slow cooked black beans, feta cheese and sour cream
- Mexican chocolate cake with cinnamon whipped cream
The evening will feature a short slide show of the past six months by the Dill Pickle Club, and a look ahead to what’s in store for the new year. We will also have three very short presentations by folks who have helped us along the way, including:
Charles Overbeck (Eberhardt Press), who has printed all of the Dill Pickle Club’s posters and publications. Charles will tell us of his work at the print shop, which publishes small-edition radical publications and provides low-cost offset printing and binding services to the Portland community.
Brian Pietrowski (Vontundra Design), who has donated their labor in the creation of two hand-crafted display tables for the Dill Pickle Club. Brian will talk about the design house’s work, and how their mission, objectives and community-inspired approach aligns with the work of the club.
Matthew Stadler (Publication Studio), who will be publishing Dill Pickle Editions, a new line of hard-to-find out-of-print books on Northwest History. Matthew will speak on the new collaborative, including the project’s first publication: Twenty Seven Installations, a book chronicling the city’s first contemporary arts organization.
Space is limited to 25 attendees and is already half full! Beer will be available from Ninkasi Brewing.
